We are thrilled to share that our CEO, Smruti Sriram OBE, has been shortlisted for the 2026 Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award, one of the most prestigious international honours celebrating women in business. Now in its 54th year, the awards recognise leaders who combine commercial success with bold, transformative vision – and Smruti’s leadership at Bags of Ethics embodies this perfectly.
Since taking the helm, Smruti has positioned Bags of Ethics as a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, working with high-profile brands including Dior, Harrods, and Nike. Her commitment to a vertically integrated supply chain and a predominantly female workforce has driven both innovation and impact, helping to eliminate more than 30 billion single-use items worldwide while maintaining consistent double-digit growth.
Being shortlisted for this award is a recognition not just of business success, but of the principles that guide our work every day: sustainability, ethical responsibility, and empowering women in leadership. Smruti’s vision continues to challenge industry norms, proving that businesses can deliver both commercial results and meaningful social impact.
The Veuve Clicquot Bold Awards honour women who redefine what leadership can look like, and we couldn’t be prouder to see Smruti recognised among such an inspiring group of leaders. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 20 May 2026, and we will be cheering for Smruti as she represents Bags of Ethics on this international stage.
At Bags of Ethics, our mission has always been about more than packaging – it’s about shaping a sustainable future, creating opportunities for women, and proving that ethical business is powerful business. Smruti’s shortlisting is a milestone in that journey, and we’re excited for what’s next.
