On Tuesday 11th October 2022, Dr Sri Ram, Founder of Supreme Creations and Bags of Ethics hosted a Diwali Party for trade guests, brand ambassadors and press at the Royal Automobile Club in St. James’, London.
Diwali is the Indian festival of lights – to bring in hope and prosperity for the new year. As our heritage and supply chain starts in India, the annual Diwali party is a great showcase of Indian craftsmandship, colour, and sustainable traditions.
Buyers from a variety of small and large businesses attended the festivities including, L’Oréal, Burberry, Royal Collection Trust, RAEBURN, Sainsbury’s, Central Saint Martins, Locke Hatters, John Lewis, Lily’s Kitchen, Moss Bros, Vivienne Westood and more. We also welcomed our charity partners from our network, including Queen’s Green Canopy, British Fashion Council and Fashion Trust Arabia. Press from the event included Marie Claire, and ITV.
Guests were invited to light the “vallaka” a traditional Indian lamp at the start of the evening, followed by Dr Sri, explaining the many traditions of Diwali. “Diwali is celebrated in different ways across different parts of India, from 5am in the morning to midnight. Weather it is eating sweets, or lighting fireworks, wearing new clothes or praying in the temples – Diwali is a festival to bring together everyone in the community.”

There was also a chance for guests to participate in the group dance learning to create symbolic lotus flowers in their hands gliding their way around a giant circle in the room.
Trade buyers were able to see a variety of products and production techniques – including the digital printing of wash bags, the foil printing on tote bags, and luxury home accessories for wholesale items.
Celebrity chef, Cyrus Todiwala had prepared a variety of delicacies for guests to enjoy the festivities in.
