The Green Tree Badge is a landmark nature-based initiative challenging children, schools, and families to learn more about the amazing world of trees. Our aim is to get 1 million school-aged children to earn their Green Tree Badge through a fun journey of tree-based activities.
The Green Tree Badge Passbook is available to buy online HERE
We recommend the Green Tree Badge for children from 7 to 12 years old and under the supervision of an adult.
There are 24 activities in the passbook that can be completed in no particular order as some are seasonal.
You need to register on our website and upload proof that your child completed at least two activities for each theme. You will then get access to a form to order the Green Tree Badge (a small postage fee is charged).
Alternatively, you can send us the proofs of accomplishment by mail with a stamped envelope (A5 – 200g) addressed to yourself to:

Once you have completed the four Gold Award challenges listed into your Passbook, upload evidence that you’ve completed each of the four Gold Award challenges into your Tree Portal (online profile).
You can upload letters, videos, and pictures via your profile (you will need permission from an adult to do this).
Gold candidates will be assessed by our esteemed judging panel and will be eligible for selection to take part in exclusive events and award ceremonies

The Official Green Tree Badge is a fabric badge that can be ironed onto an item of clothing, blanket, textile bag, or apparel.
Currently we have not been able to supply this Green Tree Badge Activities Passbook in Braille form, but we welcome any support in converting our work to meet the requirements of blind, visually impaired or partially sighted students. Please do contact us here [email protected] if you would like to support us on this.
Should your child have mobility or ability constraints, they can hopefully still participate in the activities to obtain their Green Tree Badge. If for any reason the children cannot do 2 tasks per theme (4 themes) but have completed some, please do email us at [email protected] for special consideration.
