These are not medical grade masks as these are designed for healthcare workers who need specific filtration requirements. They currently in short supply and are desperately needed across the world. However, our scientific advisors have given us some exact requirements which our quality reusable masks cloth meet in order to help prevent the spread of the virus through the release of droplets.

We want to say goodbye to single-use plastic with our adult reusable masks cloth. Disposable masks when not disposed of correctly can have a devastating effect on our planet.

A very shocking 150 million tons of single-use plastic is produced each year. With the increase in surgical plastic masks usage by the public, and with them not being disposed of correctly, single-use masks can create a big environmental issue.

On the beaches of Hong Kong, hundreds of masks are already being washed up, threatening the wildlife that inhabits our oceans across the globe. Our reusable masks cloth and protective pouches do not contain single-use plastic and therefore help to limit the amount of single-use masks being used around the world.

Our colourful BOE reusable masks cloth are assembled in London, the home of BOE, with the raw materials coming from our partner Supreme Creation’s factory in Pondicherry. The factory supports a community and is made up of a 90% female workforce who work in merchandising, design, tailoring, fabric checking, printing and packing. The factory has one of the lowest staff turnovers in the textile industry, which is usually notorious for very high staff turnovers. Many of the employees have been at the factory for 15 years.

Scientific Community Conversation on Masks

George GaoEldad EinavBrienen, Nicole CJ
The big mistake in the U.S. and Europe, in my opinion, is that people aren’t wearing masks. This virus is transmitted by droplets and close contact. Droplets play a very important role—you’ve got to wear a mask, because when you speak, there are always droplets coming out of your mouth. Many people have asymptomatic or presymptomatic infections. If they are wearing face masks, it can prevent droplets that carry the virus from escaping and infecting others.

As the weight of evidence shifts toward supporting a major role for asymptomatic transmission, the use of personal facemasks, especially in crowded areas, becomes instrumental in preventing community spread of the virus. We can no longer rely on symptoms or screening to tell us whether mask protection is needed.
